XhoI
XhoI is a Restriction Endonuclease purified from an Escherichia coli strain that carries the XhoI gene from Xanthomonas holcicola. XhoI activity is impaired by CpG methylation (CG methylase cleaves CT5mCGAG very slowly).
Restriction enzymes are used to recognize a specific sequence of nucleotides and cut double stranded DNA into smaller fragments at a specific location. Each restriction enzyme recognises different DNA sequences.
XhoI is a Restriction Endonuclease purified from an Escherichia coli strain that carries the XhoI gene from Xanthomonas holcicola. XhoI activity is impaired by CpG methylation (CG methylase cleaves CT5mCGAG very slowly). The optimum reaction temperature is at 37 °C.
Concentration: 10000 U/mL
Reaction Buffer: The enzyme is provided with two buffers: a specific buffe – NZYBuffer D, optimized for routine single-enzyme digestion, and NZYBuffer U, a universal buffer suitable for multi-enzyme digestions and ready for direct agarose gel loading.
This dual-buffer system offers convenience and flexibility, ensuring maximal specificity and allowing customers to choose the most appropriate buffer for their experimental setup. For single-enzyme digestions using NZYBuffer D, NZYBuffer U can also be utilized as a loading buffer at a 1x concentration.
