Polaris® Glycerol-free RT-LAMP Reverse Transcriptase 1 kU/μL represents a highly optimized, extremely fast reverse transcriptase for reverse transcription loop-mediated isothermal amplification (RT-LAMP) assays. This enzyme is specifically developed to ensure efficient and accurate cDNA synthesis from RNA templates in a RT-LAMP setting, utilizing LAMP primer sets. This enzyme provides optimal conditions for reverse transcription by maintaining high activity and stability under a range of reaction conditions, most notably at around 69 ºC, the optimal temperature range of Polaris® Bst enzymes. Furthermore, it is highly efficient, with cDNA templates being produced in under five minutes in RT-LAMP settings. These features are critical for minimizing the likelihood of errors during RNA transcription, thereby enhancing the yield and specificity of the desired RT-LAMP products, while contributing to a lower probability of non-specific amplification occurrence. It is also extremely resistant to common reaction inhibitors found in typical biological samples. Finally, it is highly compatible with lyophilization procedures, expanding its usability in different contexts. All this results in a highly versatile, efficient and useful enzyme that retains reproducible performance even at lower concentrations. It is highly suited for RT-LAMP applications where rapid transcription and amplification are hallmarks, but without compromising specificity or sensitivity.
