Bridging Knowledge and Sales: Immersive Lab Technique Training for Sales Excellence

In a bid to continuously improve their product knowledge, the sales team at NZYtech recently participated in two pivotal workshops focusing on essential lab techniques. The sessions, held a week ago, centered on Gene Expression Assays and End-Point PCR, underscoring the company's commitment to continuous improvement and in-house expertise.

Workshop 1: Gene Expression Assay (from RNA to dsDNA (qPCR))
The first workshop provided an in-depth look at the Gene Expression Assay process, from RNA extraction to double-stranded DNA synthesis (qPCR amplification).
Participants gained valuable insights into gene expression analysis. This comprehensive training session ensured that the sales team can deliver precise and informed support to their clients, highlighting the company's focus on helping researchers.
The sales team performed real-time qPCR to detect 2 targets from mouse RNA, starting with synthesizing cDNA. Three strategies were used: one consisting of one-step RT-qPCR using NZYtech’s One-step NZYSpeedy RT-qPCR Green kit (cDNA synthesis and qPCR in a single step), another with cDNA synthesis using NZY First-Strand cDNA Synthesis Flexible Pack followed by qPCR with NZYSupreme qPCR Green Master Mix (2x), and a third similar to the second but using NZY First-Strand cDNA Synthesis Kit instead of NZY First-Strand cDNA Synthesis Flexible Pack. The main goal was for the sales team to familiarize themselves with the difficulties encountered in each strategy by comparing the setups, speed, time consumption, and reproducibility among operators.
Workshop 2: End-Point PCR and Agarose Gel Analysis
The second workshop emphasized End-Point PCR and Agarose Gel Analysis, essential techniques in many molecular biology applications. Through hands-on sessions, the sales team mastered the intricacies of these processes, enhancing their ability to provide detailed and accurate information to customers. This practical approach to learning is indicative of NZYtech’s dedication to maintaining a knowledgeable and competent sales force.
The sales team performed end-point PCR to amplify a 1kb fragment from human genomic DNA. Three strategies were used: one using the standard Taq enzyme, NZYtech’s NZYTaq II DNA polymerase, and the other two using ready-to-use master mixes containing all the required components except primers and template. These two strategies differed only in the type of enzyme used: the standard TaqII, NZYTaq II 2x Green Master Mix or the Speedy NZYTaq 2x Green Master Mix. The PCR products were analysed through agarose electrophoresis. The main goal was for the sales team to familiarize themselves with the difficulties encountered in each strategy by comparing the setups, speed, time consumption, and reproducibility among operators.
Leveraging In-House Expertise
The workshops were facilitated by NZYtech's own R&D team. This internal collaboration allows the sales team to directly engage with the products and techniques they promote, fostering a deeper understanding of NZYtech's full portfolio.
