Description: OtGe15B (CE15) is a glucuronyl esterase from Opitutus terrae. Glucuronyl esterases are considered to play a significant role in biomass degradation by disconnecting hemicellulose from lignins, through the hydrolysis of the ester bond between 4-O-methyl-D-glucuronic acid residues of glucuronoxylans and aromatic alcohols of lignin. Recombinant OtGe15B (CE15), purified from Escherichia coli, is a single domain family 15 Carbohydrate Esterase (CE15) ( The enzyme is provided in 35 mM NaHepes buffer, pH 7.5, 750 mM NaCl, 200 mM imidazol, 3.5 mM CaCl2, 0.02% sodium azide and 25% (v/v) glycerol, at a 1mg/mL concentration.
