Description: BtPme NC (CE NC), E.C. number 3.1.1.11, is an enzyme that removes the methyl side chains of pectins from Bacteroides thetaiotaomicron. Recombinant BtPme NC (CE NC), purified from Escherichia coli, is a single domain family NC Carbohydrate Esterase (CE NC) (www.cazy.org). The enzyme is provided in 35 mM NaHepes buffer, pH 7.5, 750 mM NaCl, 200 mM imidazol, 3.5 mM CaCl2, 0.02% sodium azide and 25% (v/v) glycerol, at a 1 mg/mL concentration.
