Description: SpAcp85A (GH85), E.C. number 3.2.1.96, is an enzyme that participates in the endohydrolysis of the diacetylchitobiosyl unit in high-mannose glycopeptides and glycoproteins containing the -(Man(GlcNAc)(2))Asn-structure. One N-acetyl-D-glucosamine residue remains attached to the protein; the rest of the oligosaccharide is released intact from Streptococcus pneumoniae. Recombinant SpAcp85A (GH85), purified from Escherichia coli, is a single domain family 85 Glycoside Hydrolase (GH85) (www.cazy.org). The enzyme is provided in 35 mM NaHepes buffer, pH 7.5, 750 mM NaCl, 200 mM imidazol, 3.5 mM CaCl2, 0.02% sodium azide and 25% (v/v) glycerol, at a 1 mg/mL concentration.
