Description: BhAmy13A (GH13), E.C. number 3.2.1.98, is an enzyme that participates in the hydrolysis of 1,4-α-glucosidic linkages in amylaceous polysaccharides, to remove successive maltohexaose residues from the non-reducing chain ends from Bacillus halodurans. Recombinant BhAmy13A (GH13), purified from Escherichia coli, is a single domain family 13 Glycoside Hydrolase (GH13) (www.cazy.org). The protein is provided in 35 mM NaHepes buffer, pH 7.5, 750 mM NaCl, 200 mM imidazol, 3.5 mM CaCl2 and 25% (v/v) glycerol, at a 1 mg/mL concentration.
