Description: SpEab98A (GH98), E.C. number 3.2.1.102, is an enzyme that participates in the endohydrolysis of 1,4-β-D-galactosidic linkages in blood group A and B substances from Streptococcus pneumoniae. Recombinant SpEab98A (GH98), purified from Escherichia coli, is a single domain family 98 Glycoside Hydrolase (GH98) (www.cazy.org). The protein is provided in 35 mM NaHepes buffer, pH 7.5, 750 mM NaCl, 200 mM imidazol, 3.5 mM CaCl2 and 25% (v/v) glycerol, at a 1 mg/mL concentration.
