Description: BsLys23A (GH23), E.C. number 3.2.1.17, is an enzyme that participates in the hydrolysis of 1,4-β-linkages between N-acetylmuramic acid and N-acetyl-glucosamine residues in a peptidoglycan and between N-acetyl-D-glucosamine residues in chitodextrins from Bacillus subtilis. Recombinant BsLys23A (GH23), purified from Escherichia coli, is a single domain family 23 Glycoside Hydrolase (GH23) (www.cazy.org). The protein is provided in 35 mM NaHepes buffer, pH 7.5, 750 mM NaCl, 200 mM imidazol, 3.5 mM CaCl2 and 25% (v/v) glycerol, at a 1 mg/mL concentration.
