1,3-β-Glucanosyltransglucosidase 17A (PpGlt17A), assigned the E.C. number 2.4.1.-, is a derivative of Pseudomonas putida. It is a glucanosyltransglucosidase that forms 1-3-β-linkages but also to a substantial extent1-6-β and 1-4-β linkages. The recombinant PpGlt17A, purified from Escherichia coli, is a single-domain Glycoside Hydrolase family 17 (GH17) enzyme (see more details at www.cazy.org).
