Description: PaAlg7A (PL7), E.C. number 4.2.2.-, is an enzyme from Pseudomonas aeruginosa that catalysis the degradation of alginate oligosaccharides by a β-elimination mechanism. Recombinant PaAlg7A (PL7), purified from Escherichia coli, is a single domain family 7 Pectate Lyase (PL7) (www.cazy.org). The enzyme is provided in 35 mM NaHepes buffer, pH 7.5, 750 mM NaCl, 200 mM imidazol, 3.5 mM CaCl2, 0.02% sodium azide and 25% (v/v) glycerol, at a 1 mg/mL concentration.
