Description: BtHep13A (PL13), E.C. number 4.2.2.7, is an enzyme from Bacteroides thetaiotaomicron that acts on polysaccharides containing glucuronate or iduronate residues and 1,4-α linked 2-sulfoamino-2-deoxy-6-sulfo-D-glucose residues. Recombinant BtHep13A (PL13), purified from Escherichia coli, is a single domain family 13 Pectate Lyase (PL13) (www.cazy.org). The enzyme is provided in 35 mM NaHepes buffer, pH 7.5, 750 mM NaCl, 200 mM imidazol, 3.5 mM CaCl2, 0.02% sodium azide and 25% (v/v) glycerol, at a 1 mg/mL concentration.
