Description: PhHep12A (PL12), E.C. number 4.2.2.8, is an enzyme that participates in the eliminative cleavage of Heparan sulfate by putativaly acting on the linkages between acetyl-glucosamine and uronate from Pedobacter heparinus. Recombinant PhHep12A (PL12), purified from Escherichia coli, is a single domain family 12 Pectate Lyase (PL12) (www.cazy.org). The enzyme is provided in 35 mM NaHepes buffer, pH 7.5, 750 mM NaCl, 200 mM imidazol, 3.5 mM CaCl2, 0.02% sodium azide and 25% (v/v) glycerol, at a 0,5 mg/mL concentration.
