Rhamnogalacturonan endolyase 11A (CZ0704)

Activity: Family: Organism: Bacteroides thetaiotaomicron EC Number: Architecture: PL11

Description: BtRge11A (PL11), E.C. number, is an enzyme that participates in the endotype eliminative cleavage of L-α-rhamnopyranosyl-1,4-α-D-galactopyranosyluronic acid bonds of rhamnogalacturonan I domains in ramified hairy regions of pectin leaving L-rhamnopyranose at the reducing end and 4-deoxy-4,5-unsaturated D-galactopyranosyluronic acid at the non-reducing end from Bacteroides thetaiotaomicron. Recombinant BtRge11A (PL11), purified from Escherichia coli, is a single domain family 11 Pectate Lyase (PL11) (www.cazy.org). The enzyme is provided in 35 mM NaHepes buffer, pH 7.5, 750 mM NaCl, 200 mM imidazol, 3.5 mM CaCl2, 0.02% sodium azide and 25% (v/v) glycerol, at a 0,25 mg/mL concentration.
