Description: NZYTech Real-time PCR Kit for Herpes Simplex Virus 1 (HSV1) is designed for the in vitro quantification of HSV1 genomes. The kit is designed to have the broadest detection profile possible whilst remaining specific to the HSV1 genome. The primers and probes sequences have 100% homology with over 95% of reference sequences contained in the NCBI database. Specifically, the primers have low homology to the HSV-2 sequences in these regions, and therefore the kit has a highly specific quantification profile. It is not possible guarantee the quantification of all clinical isolates. The kit includes positive control for copy number determination, as well as an internal extraction template to control the quality of the nucleic acids extraction avoiding false negative results.
