Xanthan lyase 8A (PaXan8A), assigned the E.C. number 4.2.2.12, is a derivative of Paenibacillus alginolyticus. It is an enzyme that acts on terminal β-D-mannosyl-1,4-β-D-glucuronosyl linkage of the side-chain of the polysaccharide xanthan.
