Description: BpPor16B (GH16), E.C. number 3.2.1.178, is an enzyme that participates in the hydrolysis of β-galactopyranose-1,4-α-galactopyranose-6-sulfate linkages in porphyran from Bacteroides plebeius. Recombinant BpPor16B (GH16), purified from Escherichia coli, is a single domain family 16 Glycoside Hydrolase (GH16) (www.cazy.org). The protein is provided in 35 mM NaHepes buffer, pH 7.5, 750 mM NaCl, 200 mM imidazol, 3.5 mM CaCl2 and 25% (v/v) glycerol, at a 0,5 mg/mL concentration.
