Description: BaAcp18A (CBM50-CBM50-GH18), E.C. number 3.2.1.-, is a cortex peptidoglycan hydrolase with endo-β-N-acetylglucosaminidase specificity responsible for cortex peptidoglycan degradation that triggers spore germination from Bacillus anthracis. Recombinant BaAcp18A (CBM50-CBM50-GH18), purified from Escherichia coli, is a modular family 18 Glycoside Hydrolase (GH18) with two N-terminal family 50 Carbohydrate Binding Module (CBM50) (www.cazy.org). The enzyme is provided in 35 mM NaHepes buffer, pH 7.5, 750 mM NaCl, 200 mM imidazol, 3.5 mM CaCl2, 0.02% sodium azide and 25% (v/v) glycerol, at a 0,25 mg/mL concentration.
